If you are an international prospective student with a university entrance qualification from abroad, and want to enrol in a degree programme at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg / DHBW), please take note of the following information:

As you have already learnt from your research: If you would like to take up a Bachelors degree programme at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), you will need a study contract with a company (Dualer Partner). You must also fulfil the legal admission requirements for studying at the DHBW. International prospective students must also provide proof of their German language skills.

There are different types of higher education entrance qualifications in Germany. Two of these are the „Fachhochschulreife“ (an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences) and „fachgebundene Hochschulreife“ (a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification for universities). Regulations for admission to a degree programme at the DHBW with these degrees are as follows:

• Anyone whose highest educational qualification is the Fachhochschulreife must successfully complete the Deltaprüfung to study at the DHBW - regardless of the subject specialisation of the Fachhochschulreife or the intended degree programme. The same applies if a qualification obtained abroad has been recognised as Fachhochschulreife in Germany, in which case a successfully completed Deltaprüfung is also required.
• Anyone who has acquired the fachgebundene Hochschulreife only must complete Deltaprüfung if the subject-specific qualification does not entitle them to study the desired degree programme at DHBW. The same applies if a qualification obtained abroad has been recognised as Fachgebundene Hochschulreife in Germany; Deltaprüfung is required in this case if the specialization of your degree recogniced as Fachgebundene Hochschulreife and the degree programme at DHBW do not match.

Important Information: The Deltaprüfung is aimed exclusively at the above-mentioned group of people. If you do not belong to this group and/or already have completed a dergee that entitles you to study the desired degree programme at the DHBW, participation at Deltaprüfung is not necessary and not possible.

It is therefore very important that you clarify in advance whether the qualification you obtained abroad is recognised as a Fachhochschulreife, fachgebundene Hochschulreife or other qualification. Please only register for Deltaprüfung as soon as you are sure that you must complete the Deltaprüfung so that you can enclose the relevant proof with your application.
